About the Role

Excelium is a leading cyber security consulting firm that provides tailored and holistic cyber security solutions to public and private sector clients across Australia.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Cyber Security Consultant to join our team in Sydney. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct cyber security assessments and provide strategic advice to clients on managing cyber security and critical infrastructure risks to support business outcomes.
Work with clients to develop and implement cyber security strategies, policies, and procedures.
Conduct compliance assessments against security frameworks such as ISM/PSPF, IRAP, ISO 27001, 27701, 27018, and 3100, SOC 2, and NIST.
Provide guidance and support to clients on the implementation and maintenance of security frameworks.
Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and red-teaming activities to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in clients’ systems, networks, and applications.
Develop and deliver training and awareness sessions to clients’ personnel on cyber security best practices and policies.
Assist clients with incident response and remediation activities in the event of a cyber security incident.
Keep up-to-date with the latest cyber security threats, trends, and technologies.
Requirements
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience in cyber security consulting or a related field.
Strong knowledge of cyber security principles, frameworks, and regulations.
Experience conducting cyber security assessments and developing strategies and policies.
Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISM/PSPF, IRAP, ISO 27001, 27701, 27018, and 3100, SOC 2, and NIST.
Experience conducting penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and red-teaming activities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable.
